Greetings in Christ, I am David Viles, Pastor at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lohman, Missouri.
I have lived in several places around the United States and traveled a great deal in Europe, the Caribbean, and of course the United States. My previous home for 47 years had been in Arkansas. I began as Pastor of St. Paul’s on October 8, 2017.
I married my best friend, Donna in 1981 and we have two children, five grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Donna and I now live in Lohman, Missouri where we feel right at home with our five-year-old Shih Tzu, Brandy, and a one-year-old Shih Tzu Max.
I graduated from Wartburg Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa after working in Manufacturing for over 30 years. I was blessed to be called by God to another vocation doing His will in serving the church and it has been a great joy for the past few years. My first Call was a small rural church in Arkansas and I am now blessed to serve the wonderful congregation of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
My prayer is to walk with the congregation of St. Paul’s as we journey together through spiritual enrichment and enlightenment while discovering the joys of God’s grace and responding to that gift through the love of our neighbors. I seek to reach out to the communities, towns, Jefferson City, as well as our online worship presence on Facebook Live, to welcome all people to St. Paul’s church. I welcome you as sisters and brothers in Christ, one family made in God’s image.
