Confirmation Ministry is a relational and educational ministry of the Church in which young people are given the encouragement and tools to affirm their faith which began at baptism.
During the two-year program which normally begins in the 7th grade, the students study:
- the 10 Commandments
- the Apostle’s Creed
- the Lord’s Prayer
- the meaning of Baptism
- the meaning of Holy Communion
while adult mentors provide encouragement and examples of their own faith journey for the youth.
The course concludes with the students making a personal faith statement which is reviewed by members of the Church Council.
